And then Mel’s ex comes in and shakes shit up and that’s where it really gets entertaining. The romance between them was absolutely adorable.

She was very much a manic pixie dream girl but I liked her development as well though it wasn’t as good as Lynn’s. Lynn, I liked her but she did get on my nerves at times. It was wonderful seeing her let her guard down and fall in love with Lynn. She’s a womanizer and closed off emotionally but her character development was so good.

The characters were great especially Mel. It’s filled to the brim with all sorts of drama, angst, romance, and sex. It’s basically a lesbian soap opera and I ate it up. Once I started it I was absolutely hooked and I could not stop reading. I read this whole thing in like five hours or so which I was not planning to do. It was wonderful seeing her let her guard down and fall in love with 5 stars. Just a simple fluffy story with some dramas to propel the story forward.moreĥ stars. While it's very entertaining until the end but I wouldn't say that the story is any unique or compelling. Lynn has no personalities at all.Ī lot of dramas and saucy scenes but apart from that there's not much character development and all the characters feel so damn shallow there. Actually all the characters are overly perfect it's not even realistic. The characters are cool but damn, Lynn is so damn Mary Sue it makes my head hurt. Just a simple fluffy story w I can understand the appeal of it. A lot of dramas and saucy scenes but apart from that there's not much character development and all the characters feel so damn shallow there. This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. Here I am two days later and only now returning to my beloved queen of snark. This is what happens when I had date number two with Kate Kane all planned but then Farah comes along and goes "here's a link, click it". Oh and that ending, so cheesy! Still made me smile though. The best thing to do is suspend your disbelief throughout the entire thing. It's been a really long time since I've read any Yuri and I'd forgotten how similar it could be to a soap opera or telenovela. *gulp* Hats off to Ratana Satis as both writer and illustrator!

The best part of this particular Yuri is that all the art is in full color. All in all, I thought it was solid writing. I can't say that anything in particular stood out to me since this is Yuri and it's supposed to be full of drama and intrigue. Good pacing, interesting plot lines and with lots of twists and turns to keep you turning the pages. There's also a plethora of secondary characters as well that really kept the pace of the story going. Lynn on the other, though a lot more likable, came across as a little meek but still had a lot of growing to do. It is any wonder I couldn't stand Mel in the beginning? Hopping from one woman to another not caring who she hurt in the process? Thank goodness her character was redeemable but it was not easy to like her. Mel Sievers has her perfectly structured world turned upside down when she meets Lynn Wiles, a young woman and patient in need of a heart transplant. Lynn on the other, t "I dare you to love me".
