Ability Checks made to escape this grapple have disadvantage. A Gargantuan or smaller creature adhered to the mimic swarm is also Grappled by it (escape DC 16). The mimic adheres to anything that touches it. The Mimic Sword is easygoing and friendly, but often gives backhanded compliments. The weapon can speak, read and understand Common and Undercommon, and can talk. It has hearing and darkvision out to a range of 60 ft.
